Three drills.
Your own voice.

Use a real upcoming conversation. Practice aloud or in writing. These are written exercises, not personalized assessments.

01 / Find your opening.

Prompt: What is one change you would recommend, and why?

Say it once. Find the sentence that contains your recommendation. Move it to the start, give one reason, and try again.

“I recommend ____. The main reason is ____.”

Check: Can a listener find your point in the first sentence? Keep any uncertainty that matters.

Try the meeting drill

02 / Trade an adjective for a story.

Prompt: Tell me about a problem you helped solve.

Give one sentence of context. Explain what you personally did. Say what happened, using only details you can truthfully share.

“We were facing ____. I ____. The result was ____.”

Check: Is your own contribution clear? You do not need an impressive number to give a useful example.

Try the interview drill

03 / Give your idea a next step.

Prompt: Explain an idea to someone who has never heard it.

Name who it helps, the problem, and the useful change. End with one question or request.

“This helps ____ with ____. Could we try ____?”

Check: Does your listener know what you want them to understand or do?

Try the idea drill

Use it outside the exercise.

Choose one cue for a low-pressure conversation. Afterward, ask yourself whether your point landed and what you would keep next time. The aim is useful communication, not a perfect accent or a performance score.
